About Us

Welcome to Jamia Masjid Riaz ul Jannah! Our journey began with a divine inspiration and a dream that transcended time. The masjid under construction is named Riaz ul Jannah, a tribute to our celebrated master Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), signifying our pride as Muslims.

  • History of Riaz ul Jannah

    The roots of Jamia Masjid Riaz ul Jannah trace back to Tusla Road, Rawalpindi Cantonment, on a piece of land vacant since 1825. The family that owned the land tried to sell it unsuccessfully for more than a century. Dr. Sohail Majid Sheikh, the Custodian and President of Jamia Masjid Riaz ul Jannah, received a divine dream in 1997, guiding him to build a Masjid on the very land he now oversees.

    Despite initial rejections from the landowner, Mulazim Hussain, Dr. Sohail’s persistence and prayers led to a change of heart within 24 hours. Mulazim Hussain willingly donated two kanals of land for the Masjid, appointing Dr. Sohail as its lifelong custodian.

    The construction journey began with a tent masjid to fulfill religious obligations immediately. The efforts to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) started in 2008, and the masjid has since witnessed numerous miracles and divine interventions.

    The respected father of Dr. Sohail, Sheikh Abdul Hameed (RA), who passed away in 2012, played a pivotal role in the masjid’s establishment. His profound connection with Allah (SWT) led to a divine command, instructing Dr. Sohail to name the masjid ‘Riaz ul Jannah.’
